I’ve developed the CARES method, a five-step framework, to help you get started:

  1. Clarify Your Niche: Before anything else, pinpoint your target audience and niche. Understand your expertise and decide how it differentiates you from others. Determine who you’re best suited to serve. Have you swiftly climbed the corporate ladder? Are you adept at conducting interviews? Or perhaps you have a flair for tech and can guide someone into that domain. It’s all about the unique value you bring.
  2. Address Pain Points: Dive deep into the challenges your ideal client faces. Instead of assuming, engage with them. Platforms like ChatGPT can be instrumental in identifying these pain points. Remember, your offer should be aligned with what your client needs, not just what you think they need.
  3. Refine Your Coaching Framework: Your unique coaching pathway should resonate with your client’s journey. Outline the steps they’ll undergo to achieve their goals. With your framework set, you can then craft an irresistible offer that aligns with the transformation your ideal clients seek.
  4. Engage With Real Clients: Before launching full-scale, test your methods on a few clients. Whether it’s a free session or at a discounted rate, this phase is about validating your framework and collecting those golden success stories. Live feedback is invaluable, enabling you to refine your approach.
  5. Scale and Elevate Your Offer: Now that you’ve gathered evidence of your effectiveness, it’s time to widen your horizons. Utilize the testimonials and success stories from the earlier stage and start reaching out to your ideal audience.

A Tip on Pricing

Don’t just charge for the hours you put in. Instead, bill for the transformation you’re providing. Say you’re offering guidance on transitioning into a tech role. If that role could earn your client a six-figure salary, your coaching fee should reflect that value.
